Schaeffer & Sam, CPA, P.C. has a history that dates back to the 1940s, when Emanuel Schaeffer, a co-founder of a predecessor firm, started a practice that was dedicated to representing family businesses and the individuals who own them. Throughout the years, the Firm has grown together with our clients, some of whom have been with us for over 50 years. The Firm’s clients are engaged in a wide range of businesses including real estate, construction, retail, investment, professionals, estates and trusts, and charitable foundations. The Firm currently has 11 professionals on its staff.

Schaeffer & Sam provides Tax Controversy Resolution Services, which cover a myriad of tax disputes with federal, state and local jurisdictions, in the most effective and efficient manner possible. We represent clients before the taxing authorities, including tax examinations, desk audits and responding to notices and correspondence. Our extensive experience in the representation of clients’ tax positions has secured successful resolutions of tax audits of individuals, entity returns, and gift and estate tax returns.

In the area of estates and trusts, the Firm participates in the estate planning process with client counsel, and we represent estates and trusts through all phases of compliance work. The Firm provides fiduciary accounting services with a specialized understanding of the rules and complexities of preparing judicial fiduciary accountings. We work closely with the fiduciary’s counsel to ensure that required accounting reports are provided to all interested parties.
