Carmela A. Pipia, CPA is a Principal at Schaeffer & Sam, CPA, P.C. and has been with the firm since 2001. She has over 35 years of experience working in public accounting. Her expertise includes developing and servicing complex investment partnerships, real  estate entities, high net worth individuals and their families, trusts, estates, foundations and closely held businesses. She works closely with trustees and attorneys on behalf of the firm's clients, and she guides clients in tax and business strategies most suitable for their business and personal lives. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Hofstra University and is a certified public accountant in New York State.

Carmela is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Carmela participates in Hofstra University Alumni Mentoring Programs for accounting and business students.

Outside of work, Carmela enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Carmela has been married to her wonderful husband, Joseph, for 38 years. Together, they have raised and are very proud of their two beautiful, smart and accomplished daughters who are excelling in their own careers and lives.
